HCG Diet Eating Plan: Examples and Guide

HCG Diet Plan

Following the real HCG Diet eating plan will help you lose as much as 30 pounds in 30 days without feeling hungry all the time. The examples outlined in this guide will allow you to eat a minimum of three times a day, adding in snacks if needed.

After a few weeks of following the HCG Diet eating schedule, some people say they are not hungry at mealtime. Even so, you are never to skip a meal while on the HCG Diet. You must consume the minimum daily caloric allowance on each phase for weight loss success.

Your HCG Diet eating guide is broken down into Phases, each one of equal importance. If you skip any of these phases, you will not achieve long-lasting, significant weight loss.

Although you do not have specific HCG Diet eating times, we suggest trying to plan meals at the same time each day to get your body accustomed to the diet. If you have to extend the time between meals, feel free to add a small apple as a snack.

Phase 1 HCG Diet Eating Plan and Calorie Count

The HCG Diet meal plan Phase 1 protocol is a feast for the eyes, taste buds, and stomach. Your minimum calorie count for each of these two days is 2,000 – although go right ahead and consume as much high-fat food as desired during the first two days of HCG injections.

The goal of the Phase 1 HCG Diet eating plan is to saturate your bloodstream with ready-to-utilize fat when you begin your low-calorie Phase 2. If you do not consume enough high-fat foods these two days, you may experience fatigue, headaches, and food cravings during your first week of the HCG Diet. Trust us, the higher in fat, the better your results will be starting on day three.

Examples of food options to include are pasta, pizza, whole-milk dairy products including ice cream, fried foods, pancakes, nuts, ribs, and fatty cuts of beef.

Phase 2 HCG Diet Eating Plan and Calorie Count

Day three begins your HCG Diet meal plan Phase 2 – the time when you say goodbye to all those foods you consumed that are not on the HCG Diet food list. Expect to eliminate all carbohydrates and sugars from your diet, including most artificial sweeteners. You will be allowed stevia in place of sugar, and Shirataki noodles instead of pasta and rice. These “Miracle” noodles come in many varieties, including rice, and can help fill you up without adding calories.

While on Phase 2 of the HCG Diet, eating over 500 calories a day is mandatory, even if you are not hungry. Your body still requires a minimum amount of sustenance to prevent going into starvation mode where it will hang on to your stored fat.

An Example Day on Phase 2 of the HCG Diet
Breakfast: one apple or grapefruit, 16 ounces water, tea or coffee
Lunch: 3.5 ounces of an approved protein, 1 cup of vegetable (one per meal), 1 Melba toast, 1 small handful of berries, 16 ounces water, tea or coffee
Dinner: same as lunch – you can also bake an apple for dessert if desired, sprinkling with cinnamon for a tasty treat

The HCG Diet eating plan recommended by Weight Loss Medical Center is between 500 and 700 calories a day. You may also find information on the HCG Diet meal plan 800 calories that other companies offer. There are times when this is necessary, for example when there is an excessive amount of weight to lose. Speak with one of our clinical advisors if you feel that 700 calories are not enough when you begin your HCG Diet.

Phase 3 HCG Diet Eating Plan and Calorie Count

Phase 3 of the HCG Diet increases your daily calorie count. You will begin by going up to 1,000 calories for a few weeks and then raise to 1,200 calories a day. During this time, you will be stabilizing your body at your new weight. An HCG Diet meal plan example may include adding a few slices of bacon at breakfast, a handful of nuts with your midday apple, or having a juicy piece of melon at lunch.

One thing to keep in mind during your Phase 3 HCG Diet eating plan is that you are still not allowed grains, carbohydrates, or sugar. That does not come until you reach Phase 4 and enter maintenance when you have reached your targeted weight.

The goal here is to eliminate past cravings and replace them with healthier options. You may find by the time you reach your desired weight that your taste buds have changed completely, and you no longer crave or enjoy sugar.
