HCG Diet Protocol – How to Use HCG for Rapid Weight Loss

The original HCG Diet protocol created by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons in the 1950’s is not much different from the one today. We have added a few more food choices, given you the option of increasing caloric intake slightly, and provided for three meals rather than two. Additionally, our doctors at Weight Loss Medical Center add vitamin B 12 and MIC/LIPO injections to help increase energy and fat burning in the body.

You probably have lots of questions about the HCG protocol. What is it, and how easy is it to follow? The HCG Diet protocol eliminates many of the foods from your diet that keep you from losing weight – specifically carbohydrates, sugars, and dairy (except for one tablespoon of fat-free milk for your coffee or tea each day). By eliminating these foods, your body turns into a fat-burning machine and old cravings disappear.

The HCG Diet protocol for vegetarians is slightly different due to fewer protein choices. One of our clinical advisors will help you create an HCG Diet meal plan that meets your needs.

Phase 1 HCG Diet Protocol – Loading Days

The first phase of the HCG Diet will have you consuming at least 2,000 calories a day of foods with a high-fat content. You will also begin your HCG shots at this time.

When beginning the HCG Diet protocol, Phase 1, please eat all your favorite foods, especially the ones that you think you will “miss” while losing weight. Trust us when we tell you that you really will not miss much with our delicious recipes for Phase 2. Besides, you will be losing so much weight you will not care about what you are not eating.

These two loading days are crucial as the fat in your bloodstream will start your rapid weight loss. Skipping this step will decrease your results.

Phase 2 HCG Diet Protocol – Rapid Weight Loss

Day three of the HCG protocol for weight loss begins Phase 2 when you will experience rapid fat burning of anywhere from one half to one pound a day of weight loss. The more weight you have to lose initially, the quicker it will come off at the start of your HCG Diet.

What are the HCG Diet protocol Phase 2 rules?

  • When to Eat – Eat three meals a day – breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You may also have one or two between meal snacks if you get hungry – but these can only consist of a small apple or orange. Some people choose to save their dinner fruit for in the evening.
  • What to Eat – You can have a piece of fruit at each meal (or a handful or berries during lunch and dinner). Lunch and dinner also include one choice of protein and one vegetable option from our HCG Diet food list. Now is the time to experiment with spices or try the incredibly delicious recipes we provide.
  • Calorie Count – You will consume between 500 and 700 calories a day. You may see recommendations for the new HCG Diet protocol 800 calories. While we also have information about that on this website, we do not recommend that you increase your caloric intake that high. Staying below 700 calories will provide the best results. If you feel you need the HCG protocol 800 calorie meal plan, please discuss your situation with your clinical advisor so that we can ensure you accomplish reaching your weight loss goal.

Phase 3 HCG Diet Protocol – Stabilizing the Body

After six weeks of HGH injections and sticking to your very low-calorie diet, you will move on to the next stage of the HCG Diet protocol. Phase 3 is about stabilizing your body at the new lower weight. Even if you still have weight to lose, you need a few weeks off the HCG injections and to allow your body to get accustomed to the new lower weight. Do not worry; you will not gain weight during this time if you follow the protocol.

  • What to Eat – You may have additional fruits, vegetables, and protein selections as provided in your HCG Diet plan. You may include some dairy and healthy fats, but still avoid sugar and carbohydrates during this phase.
  • Calorie Count – You will now gradually increase your calories to 1,000 per day, and then 1,200 per day – no higher. Calories will increase when you leave Phase 3 after your final goal is achieved.
