HCG Diet Allowed Foods during Phase 1

Do not expect to lose weight while on Phase 1 of the HCG Diet. This is the loading phase where your body gets ready to start burning fat while using HCG injections. There is no restriction of HCG Diet foods allowed at this time. You can eat whatever you want whenever you want for the full two days. The only rules are that you consume a minimum of 2,000 calories a day, and eat as much fat as possible. On the third day of your HCG injections, you will begin eating no more than 500 to 700 calories a day. At this time you will eliminate all sweeteners except stevia from your diet. You may have only one tablespoon of skim milk a day for your coffee. Do not consume any fat, dairy, or items not on the list provided by Kingsberg Medical.Some of the HCG Diet approved foods for phase 2 include:
  • Shrimp, lobster, and crab
  • Mahi-Mahi and grouper
  • Boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • Some cuts of beef and veal
  • Berries, apples, and citrus fruits
  • Salad greens, tomatoes, and many kinds of vegetables
  • Shirataki miracle noodles in place of pasta
  • One breadstick a day

At the end of six weeks, and after two days of maintaining the very low-calorie diet without the HCG injections, you will move on to Phase 3 – a time to stabilize your body at your new lower weight.Two of the highlights of this phase are increased calories and adding back some of the foods that you love. Included in the HCG Diet approved foods for phase 3 you will find:
  • All dairy – without added sugar
  • Additional sources of protein, such as bacon
  • A wider variety of fruits and vegetables
  • Fats – extra virgin olive and coconut oils, nuts, avocados, and seeds
Although you now have new foods allowed, HCG Diet guidelines still prohibit the consumption of carbohydrates and sugar for the next four weeks. Other than the occasional potato, you want to avoid these foods to complete the stabilizing process.
